My research is about how fixed income, exchange rate and equity markets work, and how they connect to the broader economy. Recent work covers the economic determinants of long-term interest rates, the interaction between repo and spot bond markets, and the role of funding conditions for market liquidity.
I am a Senior Research Advisor at the Bank of Canada. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the Université de Montréal, and I was a Visiting Professor at McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management in 2023–2024.
